ES PISANG IJO (BANANA ICE GREEN) - SOUTH SULAWESI

ES PISANG IJO (BANANA ICE GREEN) -  SULAWESI SELATAN
ES PISANG IJO (BANANA ICE GREEN) -  SOUTH SULAWESI

Ingredients :
  • 6 pieces of kepok banana
  • Syrup
  • Shavings of ice blocks
  • Sugar
  • 150 grams of rice flour
  • 50 grams sago
  • Screwpine leaf
  • Suji leave
  • 50 grams of flour
  • 200 ml coconut milk
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Sweetened condensed milk
Ingredients to make the sauce :
  • 150 grams of rice flour
  • 80 grams sugar
  • Screwpine leaf
How to make banana ice green :
  1. Steamed the banana until cooked.
  2. Rinse and blend the leave suji (add water). Strain water of suji leaf, and set aside.
  3. Enter suji leaf water into the basin and insert the rice flour, sugar, corn starch, flour, coconut milk and salt. Stir until smooth.
  4. Shape dough into a thin sheet and flat. Put a banana that had been steamed above a sheet of dough then roll  the banana until it is covered with dough.
  5. Steamed bananas until the color changed to green.

How to make sauce of banana ice green :

  1. Rinse and screwpine leaf then blend until smooth (add water). Strain water of screwpine leaf earlier, set aside.
  2. Add water screwpine leaf, sugar and rice flour in a pan and stir until well blended. Heat over medium heat. Stir until cooked. Set aside and let cool.

How to serve banana ice green :

         Cut the green bananas and then order a bowl, pour the porridge (sauce). Add shaved ice, syrup and milk. Banana ice green is ready to served.
