RENDANG - PADANG, WEST SUMATERA
Rendang is a traditional food from Padang. The main ingredient of rendang is beef . Taste in rendang is a blend of various spices and coconut milk cooked to cause savory sweet, taste and salty. Rendang is one of the menus required to be served when Idul Mubarak. Here is recipe to make rendang :
- Material :
- Beef
- Coconut milk
- Seasoning :
- Onion
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Chili
- Turmeric
- Coriander
- Galangal
- Candlenut
- Cummin
- Nutmeg
- Salt
- Palm sugar
- Cut the beef into pieces (according to our tastes) and then wash thoroughly.
- Rinse the onion, garlic, chilli, coriander, turmeric, nutmeg, cummin, nutmeg and then puree. Add salt and puree until mixed .
- Boil the coconut milk into the pan and insert the seasoning that have been crushed. Add the ginger, galangal and palm sugar into the pan.
- Stir coconut milk slowly so as not to break.
- Enter the beef into the pan and stir constantly until the meat blend with coconut milk and spices.
- Wait until the meat changes color to brown and coconut milk is low. Once cooked rending ready to be served.
