KLEPON - EAST JAVA
Klepon is one of
Indonesian traditional cakes are made from glutinous rice flour and rice flour.
Characteristic of klepon is
it color, klepon have green color. The green color in
klepon can be obtained by using natural ingredients that is screwpine
leaf. Here is recipe to make klepon:
Material :
- 50 grams of rice flour
- 250 grams of glutinous rice flour
Seasoning :
- 10 pieces of screwpine leaf
- 190 brown sugar (depending of our taste)
- Salt
- 300 ml boiled water
- 50 ml lime paste
- ½ grated coconut.
How to Make :
- First of all blend the screwpine leaf and then add a little water and squeeze the water.
- Enter Glutinous rice flour and rice flour and salt into a bowl. Mix both ingredients until well blended.
- Enter the pandan juice and lime into the mixture and stir briefly.
- Enter the boiled water gradually while stirring flour into dough.
- Take the dough and form into a ball and then make a little hole sphere like a ball.
- Heat the water in a pan to boil klepon on medium heat. Once the water is boiling, add klepon.
- Wait until klepon drift, drain.
- Take
the klepon then roll in shredded coconut klepon until the outer skin covered
with grated coconut.Klepon ready to be served, happy cooking :) .
