“Nasi Kuning” is one of processed rice
and coconut milk that has the hallmark of savory saltiness.
“Nasi Kuning” usually served to commemorate a birthday or celebration usual. How to make “Nasi
Kuning” is very
easy. Make “Nasi Kuning”
is almost the same as making “Nasi Uduk”, the difference is only on color alone. “Nasi Kuning” using additional
ingredients to make
the color saffron yellow and interesting. Here is recipe to make
“Nasi Kuning” :
Material :
1. 1/2 kilo of rice
2. 700 ml coconut milk from coconuts 1/2
3. 3 stalks lemongrass crushed
4. 2 bay leaves
5. 2 three-fourths teaspoon salt
6. Turmeric
How to make :
1. Rinse the rice then drain.
2. Puree turmeric then squeeze. Boil the coconut milk, along with lemongrass, turmeric juice and bay leaves to boiling
3. Add rice, and stir until absorbed
4. Add salt and stir
5. Steam the rice until cooked
6. Rice uduk ready to be served. Coffè will taste more delicious when served with complementary dishes such as omelet, tempe kering, fried chicken and crackers.
