 GUDEG  (CURRY JACKFRUIT) - YOGYAKARTA
          Gudeg (read, Gudheg), who is not familiar with these foods. Gudeg is a typical food of Yogyakarta, which has a taste of sweet and savory. Gudeg made from young jackfruit combined with various spices and coconut milk. How to cook warm long enough to make the jackfruit changed color to brown. Gudeg usually served with a variety of menus such as eggs, tempeh, tofu, krecek and certainly not miss the sauce and crackers. Hmmm, taste the delicious sweet sauce plus alloy makes the alloy taste becomes more complete, especially if served with warm rice. Here is recipe to make gudeg :

  • Ingredients :
  1. Young jackfruit
  2. Coconut milk
  3. Boiled eggs

  • Seasoning :
  1. Garlic
  2. Shallot
  3. Coriander
  4. Salt
  5. Candlenut
  6. Pepper

  • Seasoning (inserted into the pan when the vegetables boiled)

  1. Palm sugar
  2. Bay leaf
  3. Galangal
  4. Lime leaves

How to Make :  

          Firstly sliced the jackfruit then boiled. Then enter, galangal, boiled eggs and palm sugar. Then add water and spices, stir evenly. Boiled jackfruit and spices are for approximately 2 hours on medium heat, then enter the coconut  milk and mash the jackfruit. Cook until the coconut  milk runs out and warm brown. Finally it's ready to be served with other escorts menu. (Gudeg more delicious when served with rice using banana leaves as plates , the banana leaf aroma will blend which will add to delicious smell).
